This harness is listed as fitting a 2009 CR-V without cutting..It is NOT modular and Does NOT just plug in..there are harnesses available that just plug in.

I purchased this from Amazon and got in time. the Reese Towpower 74209 Trailer Light Converter works like charm, easy to setup following the instruction that is included. so far it is working flawlessly and would recommend it for all those who plans to add a small trailor or replacing their tailight converter.

I used this converter when I installed the hitch on my 2004 Saturn Vue. It is easy to install, as the Vue already has all 5 wire leads in the cargo area of the car, just cut those leads, and splice into the converter. I used heat shrink [...] splices to make the connections to the car harness.
